  24. * What Is An RTS File? *
  25. ========================

  27. An RTS file, also known as a remote ridicule file, is a file used by
  28. Duke Nukem 3D and Rise Of The Triad for multiplayer. games.
  29. The file consists of 10 .VOC files of anything the creator wants.
  30. A person playing DN3D or ROTT can hit the alt key + F1-F10 to hear one of
  31. the 10 .VOC files. If you are in a multiplayer. game all other players
  32. will hear the same sounds provided they have the same .RTS file loaded in
  33. their setup. DN3D comes by default with phrases uttered by Duke Nukem.
  34. Everyone must be using the same RTS file for full effect. To load a file
  35. run setup before playing a game and under modem game cfg it gives you the
  36. option of selecting which RTS file to use. If you have a different one
  37. loaded that the other players you will hear the .VOC file assigned to that
  38. function key, not the sound the other person hears and intends for you to hear
  39.
